Softball Recap: Deering Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Deering's offense. They lost 8-0 to the South Portland Red Riots on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Riots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 back in April.

Deering is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14. As for South Portland, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Deering will square off against Westbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Blazes have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. South Portland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
