Baseball Game Preview: Early Longhorns vs. Tolar Rattlers

The Early Longhorns will head out on the road to challenge the Tolar Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Early didn't have quite enough to beat Eastland and fell 4-3.

Early saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brennan Rasor, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Those two hits gave Rasor a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Tolar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to Peaster.

Drake Owens put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Owens was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple.

Early dropped their record down to 4-11 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Tolar, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 4-11.
