Keystone Heights won the last time they faced Ridgeview and things went their way on Monday too. The Keystone Heights Indians had just enough and edged out the Ridgeview Panthers 8-6. The win was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won five contests in a row.

Ethan Franklin made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that he's hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Guage Barry, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Tallon Campbell was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Keystone Heights' record is now 5-2. As for Ridgeview, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keystone Heights will head out to challenge Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ridgeview, they will head out on the road to square off against South Paulding at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
