Baseball Recap: Pinole Valley's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Pinole Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They fell 5-2 to the De Anza Dons. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dons earlier this season, when they won 14-7.

Pinole Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Castro, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Pinole Valley's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-11-1. As for De Anza, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-14-1.

Pinole Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for De Anza, they will square off against El Cerrito at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gauchos will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Dons surely won't give up without a fight.
