Soccer Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Highland

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Littlerock, Highland was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Eastside Lions out 3-2. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 646th, while the Lions are ranked 193rd).

Highland's win bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland will host Antelope Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Quartz Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
