Aletheia Christian Academy took a 52-37 bruising from Gulf Pointe Latin on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Aletheia Christian Academy in their matchups with Gulf Pointe Latin: they've now lost three in a row.
Aletheia Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jude Burke, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals. Brady Carlson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Gulf Pointe Latin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Will Luthin, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Crumpler, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Aletheia Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Gulf Pointe Latin, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Aletheia Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lighthouse Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. As for Gulf Pointe Latin, they will head out on the road to square off against Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
