With a playoff win on the line, Goliad rose to the challenge on Friday. They skirted past the Hondo Owls 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since March 25th.

Goliad has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Hondo, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 22-7-1 record.

Coming up, Goliad will face off against London on the 17th. The Pirates will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. Hondo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
