Recap: Manti Templars vs. Wasatch Wasps
The Manti Templars lost against the Wasatch Wasps back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Manti had to suffer through a rough 57-24 loss at the hands of Wasatch. Manti was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-9.
Wasatch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashley Garner, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds. The contest was Garner's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Behnke, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Manti's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Wasatch, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manti will square off against Uintah at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Uintah focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday. As for Wasatch, they will head out on the road to face off against Union at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
