Lighthouse Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the New Heights Christian Academy Cougars. Lily Ray was a massive factor in the win as she booted in five goals all by herself.

Lighthouse Christian pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. As for New Heights Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lighthouse Christian will venture away from home to square off against Crocker at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Crocker will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lighthouse Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jefferson City at 10:00 a.m. on May 3.
