St. Bede won against Putnam County on Thursday with one run and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Bruins didn't even let the Tri-Valley Vikings on the board, marking the Bruins' second-straight 1-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Bruins, who have now won six matches in a row.

Not much got past Ranbir Saini, who gave up just four hits to keep Tri-Valley off the board. Saini has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, St. Bede's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Mullane, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

St. Bede's record now sits at 20-4. As for Tri-Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8-1.

Looking ahead, St. Bede will be playing in front of their home fans against Newark at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tri-Valley, they will head out on the road to take on St. Joseph-Ogden at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
