Basketball Recap: Casey Miller Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lowellville

After losing to Lowellville the last time they met, McDonald decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The McDonald Blue Devils took down the Lowellville Rockets 59-44 on Tuesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McDonald to victory, but perhaps none more so than Casey Miller, who posted nine points in addition to seven boards and five assists. That's the most points Miller has posted since back in February of 2024. Drew Zajack was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

McDonald's record is now 7-5. As for Lowellville, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

McDonald will square off against Mineral Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McDonald is facing Mineral Ridge at the right time seeing as Mineral Ridge is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lowellville, they will host McKinley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
