Basketball Recap: Canton Takes a Loss

Canton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Windsor Locks Raiders. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Windsor Locks' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caroline McGinnis, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave McGinnis a new career-high in points. Maeve McGinnis was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Canton's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Windsor Locks, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-10.

Canton has already played their next matchup (against East Granby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Windsor Locks has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against East Windsor/Bloomfield.
