Chesapeake is 8-2 against Dawson-Bryant since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Meanwhile, Dawson-Bryant suffered their closest loss since December 28, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Portsmouth by a score of 56-53. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

Chesapeake's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Dawson-Bryant, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Everything came up roses for Chesapeake against Dawson-Bryant in their previous meeting on January 2nd, as the squad secured a 72-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chesapeake since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
