Basketball Game Preview: Buckeye Local Panthers vs. Toronto Red Knights

The Buckeye Local Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Toronto Red Knights at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Buckeye Local had to suffer through a 66-22 loss at the hands of Union Local. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 820th, while the Jets are ranked 296th).

Toronto has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-41 heartbreaker at the hands of Indian Creek.

Toronto's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for Buckeye Local, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Buckeye Local lost to Toronto on the road by a decisive 51-35 margin in their previous meeting last Friday. Can Buckeye Local avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
