The Brazosport Christian Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Second Baptist University-Model Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Brazosport Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Thursday.
Brazosport Christian stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard. Everything went their way against Baytown Christian as Brazosport Christian made off with a 70-48 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Brazosport Christian.
Brazosport Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Luke Coburn, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Elijah Burris, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Coburn scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Carson Catoe, who scored six points along with seven assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Second Baptist University-Model slipped by Houston Adventist Academy 51-50 back in December of 2023.
Brazosport Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Second Baptist University-Model, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Brazosport Christian took their victory against Second Baptist University-Model when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 58-36.
