Soccer Game Preview: Tarboro vs. Perquimans

Tarboro hasn't had much luck against Perquimans recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tarboro Vikings will be playing at home against the Perquimans Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Tarboro has given up an average of 9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Tarboro is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Rocky Mount, falling 9-1. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly eight goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Jada Williams, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Perquimans can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lawrence Academy, sneaking past 3-2.

Perquimans' victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Tarboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
