Basketball Recap: Arnold Comes Up Short

Arnold managed to keep up with Mosley until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Arnold Marlins took a blow against the Mosley Dolphins, falling 57-29. The Marlins have struggled against the Dolphins recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Mosley found their leader in freshman Faith Alvarado, who went 9 of 19 en route to 21 points in addition to six boards and six steals. The dominant performance gave Alvarado a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caydence Keys, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds.

Arnold's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Mosley, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-11.

While Arnold had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
