Baseball Recap: Kameron Foster's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Standing Bear over Norris

Friday just wasn't the day for Standing Bear's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-0 to the Norris Titans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 two weeks ago.

Standing Bear saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kameron Foster, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Foster is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Standing Bear's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Norris, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Standing Bear will host Columbus at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Norris, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gretna East at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st.
