Basketball Recap: Mormon Trail Comes Up Short

Mormon Trail lost a heartbreaker to Moravia when they met back in January of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The Mormon Trail Saints came up short against the Moravia Mohawks, falling 73-51. The loss continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Mohawks: they've now lost six in a row.

Mormon Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Moravia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

Mormon Trail will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Martensdale-St. Mary's at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Moravia will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Montezuma at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
