After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Heidelberg, Mize was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clarkdale 45-0. Mize's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Mize to victory were Antrell Agee and Wesley Little. Agee rushed for 18 yards and a pair of scores, while Little gained 135 total yards and a touchdown. Agee's passing game has become a key predictor of Mize's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise.

Another reason for the win was Mize's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jamiyon Gray and Agee, who racked up five sacks between them. Mize received some extra help from Gray, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Mize's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Clarkdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mize will head out to challenge Bay Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bay Springs' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so Mize's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Clarkdale, they are taking a road trip to take on Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clarkdale will be up against Enterprise's rather soft defense (which has allowed 34 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
