Football Recap: Milo Pascual Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Ponderosa

There's no place like home for Roosevelt, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 40-22 victory over the Ponderosa Mustangs on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Roughriders also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Roosevelt's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Milo Pascual, who rushed for 137 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. What's more, Pascual posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Jasiah Ramirez was another key passer, throwing for 121 yards and two TDs.

Roosevelt's run defense was locked in: Ponderosa could only muster 1.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Michael Garcia for the heroic effort on defense: he. Roosevelt didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.1.

Ponderosa lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Blake Katsoff, who picked up 120 receiving yards and one touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy WcWhorter, who picked up 98 receiving yards and one score.

Roosevelt now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ponderosa, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
