Baseball Recap: Blind Brook Trojans vs. Tuckahoe Tigers

Blind Brook extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 2-6 in the process. They fell 5-0 to the Tuckahoe Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-7 on Tuesday.

Chris Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases. Matthew Ebenstein also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

As for Tuckahoe, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.

On Tuckahoe's side, they got a great performance from Declan McColgan as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Luca Delconte was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Jay Romeo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
