The Show Low Cougars will head out to square off against the Highland Prep West HORNETS at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Show Low is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.

On Tuesday, Show Low got the win against Round Valley by a conclusive 8-2. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 6-1.

Show Low's offense was hitting Round Valley from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Porter Patton led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Highland Prep West faced Payson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The HORNETS beat the Longhorns by a goal, winning 2-1.

Show Low's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Highland Prep West, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.

Show Low skirted past Highland Prep West 4-3 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
