Football Recap: Saint James Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Saint James extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Jayden Yates. The Saints claimed a resounding 51-13 win over the Brunswick Railroaders thanks in part to Yates, who threw for 164 yards and four TDs while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 85 yards and one score. His longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Saint James' defense and their three sacks. Aiden Carter was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.

Saint James' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Brunswick, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Saint James and Brunswick could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings. The Saints (ranked 51st) will meet Maret (ranked eighth) at 1:00 p.m. on the 11th. Meanwhile, Brunswick will challenge Middletown at 6:30 p.m. on the 10th with a big rank disadvantage (109 vs. 25).
