Basketball Recap: Daniel Durazo's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sahuarita over Combs

If Sahuarita was feeling good fresh off their 62-42 takedown of Globe on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell 48-44 to the Combs Coyotes on Saturday.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daniel Durazo, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Javin Jones, who scored ten points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Sahuarita's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Combs, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Sahuarita didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-53 defeat against Bourgade Catholic on the 29th. As for Combs, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Bradshaw Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
