Basketball Game Preview: Fall Creek Crickets vs. Bloomer Blackhawks

The Fall Creek Crickets will head out on the road to square off against the Bloomer Blackhawks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, Fall Creek was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-49 to Regis. The Crickets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bloomer came up short against Altoona on Tuesday and fell 62-52. The defeat continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their matchups with the Railroaders: they've now lost four in a row.

Bloomer's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3. As for Fall Creek, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

Fall Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Bloomer when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 48-44 victory. Will Fall Creek repeat their success, or does Bloomer have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
