Leake Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Aberdeen Bulldogs. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Gators' highest-scoring contest to date.

Keymetria Robinson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That run marked the first that she has scored this season.

Leake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Aberdeen, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Leake Central and Aberdeen will both be playing Louisville the next time they take the field. The Gators will host the Wildcats at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
