Football Game Preview: Carver Collegiate Academy Rams vs. East St. John Wildcats

The Carver Collegiate Academy Rams will head out on the road to square off against the East St. John Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Carver Collegiate Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering McDonogh 35 just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 42-26 to the Roneagles.

Meanwhile, East St. John played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 42-7 defeat at the hands of Hahnville. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Tigers are ranked 32nd).

East St. John's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Carver Collegiate Academy, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

Carver Collegiate Academy couldn't quite finish off East St. John in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 and fell 22-20. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
