Volleyball Game Preview: Clarkstown South Vikings vs. John Jay Patriots

Clarkstown South hasn't had much luck against John Jay recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Vikings will challenge the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clarkstown South will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Arlington, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Vikings blew past the Admirals 3-0 on Tuesday. The Vikings not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 17th (when they won 3-0).

Clarkstown South never let Arlington on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-16.

Meanwhile, John Jay had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 3-1.

In the three sets John Jay was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 13-25, 25-15, 25-15.

John Jay's win bumped their record up to 18-3-1. As for Clarkstown South, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-1.
