Baseball Game Preview: Henryville Hornets vs. Trinity Lutheran Cougars

The Henryville Hornets will square off against the Trinity Lutheran Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Things were looking good for Henryville after they put the first run on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Clarksville by a score of 14-13.

Lelan Puyar and Spencer Jenks did some serious damage despite the final result: Puyar went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run, while Jenks got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan O'Bannon, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, while Trinity Lutheran put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for South Central. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Rebels. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Henryville has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Trinity Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
