Baseball Recap: Wheaton Academy Has No Trouble Against Aurora Christian

Wheaton Academy came out on top against Aurora Christian on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Eagles. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Josh Hilde looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Wheaton Academy is 4-1 when Hilde allows one or fewer earned runs, but 7-9 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Jackson From was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Eli Tate was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Wheaton Academy now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Aurora Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

Looking ahead, Wheaton Academy will welcome Marian Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Aurora Christian, they will venture away from home to take on St. Edward at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Green Wave at the right time seeing as the Green Wave are stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
