Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Pinecrest Academy

Pinecrest Academy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They skirted past the Cherokee Christian Warriors 60-57. This was payback for the Paladins, who suffered a 63-53 loss the last time these two teams met.

Pinecrest Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jake Bohn out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Bohn a new career-high in assists (seven). Another player making a difference was Michael Lynch, who posted seven points in addition to 14 rebounds and three blocks.

Pinecrest Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Cherokee Christian, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Pinecrest Academy will welcome Johnson Ferry Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cherokee Christian, they will head out to face off against Furtah Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cherokee Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 208 points over their last three matchups.
