Football Recap: Friona Takes a Loss

Friona played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Dalhart Wolves, falling 39-16. The Chieftans haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Although Friona took the loss, they still got scores from Jameson Daniels and Brice Jeter.

Friona's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Dalhart, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Friona will face off against Abernathy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Antelopes will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Dalhart, they will challenge Borger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
