Volleyball Recap: Knightstown Takes a Loss

Knightstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Connersville Spartans. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13, 21-25, 25-9.

Lanee Swindell paced Knightstown's offense, picking up 12 kills. Swindell got some help from Jaycie Cole and her 15 assists. Cole was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Connersville can attribute much of their success to Lola Wells, who had eight digs and three aces.

Knightstown's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Connersville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-15.

Coming up, Knightstown will challenge Morristown at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Connersville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Shenandoah on the 11th.
