Brayden Loyd Goes Supernova in Seymour Loss

Starting off the list is Seymour's Brayden Loyd, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Loyd threw for 229 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Electra had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Loyd it was a similar story. Loyd threw for 438 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 76.3% of his passes the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Munday's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Jariyis Williams

Thanks in part to Jariyis Williams, Munday said goodbye to their three-game losing streak. Williams was dynamite on Friday, rushing for 81 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while also catching a touchdown.

Munday now has a winning record of 4-3. Williams will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Electra on Friday.

Smith Came Up Big in Archer City's 28-8 Defeat

Landon Smith continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 118 rushing yards. He rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.

Smith is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Haskell on Friday. When Smith last faced the Indians back in October of 2023, he threw for 213 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
