Basketball Recap: Springville Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

With a playoff win on the line, Springville rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on the Skyline Eagles with a sharp 71-47 victory. The score was close at the half, but the Red Devils pulled away in the second half with 38 points.

Andrew Miller was his usual excellent self, going 10-for-15 en route to 24 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Swift Hall, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 14 points and five assists.

Springville was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyline only seven assists.

Despite the loss, Skyline still got an impressive performance from David Rasmussen, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. Cameron Wilson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Springville's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points over those games. As for Skyline, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.

Springville will face off against Olympus at 12:50 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Olympus' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
