Football Game Preview: Logan-Rogersville Wildcats vs. Marshfield Bluejays

The Logan-Rogersville Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Marshfield Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Logan-Rogersville's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Logan-Rogersville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-13 victory over Hillcrest. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Hornets are ranked 246th).

A big part of Logan-Rogersville's win came down to the chemistry between Sam Frieze and his top target Gage Hale. Frieze threw for 127 yards and four TDs while Hale picked up 73 receiving yards and three scores. The dominant performance also gave Frieze a new career-high in rushing yards (54).

Logan-Rogersville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 350 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-18, which was the final score in Marshfield's tilt against Branson on Friday. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Marshfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Logan-Rogersville, their record now sits at 5-1.

Everything went Logan-Rogersville's way against Marshfield in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as Logan-Rogersville made off with a 34-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
