Adrian posted their closest win since March 15, 2024 on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Versailles Tigers 15-14. The Blackhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Adrian got a massive performance out of Harlee Newkirk, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Newkirk a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emily McCammon, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

Adrian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Adrian's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Versailles, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Adrian will face off against Midway at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Versailles, they will take on Butler at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
