NorCal and SoCal battles headline the docket while No. 2 St. John Bosco heads to Hawaii.

This week's California high school football schedule features a SoCal showdown, a NorCal battle and the No. 2 team headed to Hawaii to play an island power.

Southern California's marquee matchup features No. 4 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth) heading to No. 7 Orange Lutheran (Orange) on Friday. The Trailblazers are 3-0 behind junior quarterback Wyatt Becker, who has throw for nearly 700 yards and seven touchdowns. Orange Lutheran is coming off its first loss of the season, 35-10 to Arizona power Chandler. Previously, the Lancers had beaten Serra (Gardena), De La Salle (Concord) and Eastside Catholic (Sammamish, Wash.).

Speaking of De La Salle, the Spartans find themselves in unfamiliar territory at 1-2 facing a home showdown against No. 16 St. Mary's (Stockton). They got their first win last week, beating Saint Francis (Mountain View) 35-17 after falling to Serra and Orange Lutheran to start the year. The Rams are 3-0 and led by senior quarterback Samson Hunkin and senior running back Asante Carter.

No. 2 St. John Bosco (Bellflower) heads to Oahu to tangle with Kahuku (Hawaii), which fell 55-8 last week to No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana), which is idle this week. Bosco is averaging nearly 38 points on offense while surrendering just under 11 points.
