Softball Recap: Hazleton Area Comes Up Short

Hazleton Area lost against Pittston back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars came up short against the Patriots, falling 11-4.

Hazleton Area saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elia Tito, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Hazleton Area has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Pittston, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hazleton Area will square off against rival Wilkes-Barre at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pittston is set to take on their familiar foe Dallas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
