Football Game Preview: Chatham Cougars vs. Livingston Lancers + How To Watch

The Chatham Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Livingston Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chatham is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Mount Olive on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Cougars came up short against the Marauders, falling 54-28. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ryan Hogan, who threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns. Michael MacAniff was in the mix as well, providing Chatham with two TDs.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 48 points the game before, Livingston was a bit more limited in their game last Thursday. They lost 34-12 to West Orange. The defeat continues a trend for the Lancers in their meetings with the Mountaineers: they've now lost three in a row.

Livingston's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Chatham, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Everything came up roses for Chatham against Livingston in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 44-7 win. In that contest, the Cougars amassed a halftime lead of 37-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
