Timberland has gone 4-0 against Academic Magnet recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Timberland Wolves will welcome the Academic Magnet Raptors at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Timberland is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Cross: they outscored them in every quarter. Timberland enjoyed a cozy 34-15 victory over Cross on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Timberland found their leader in sophomore Kennahdi Murrell, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Murrell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Georgia Conyers, who posted six points and 12 boards.
Timberland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Academic Magnet). They strolled past Charleston Collegiate with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 53-35. The win was some much needed relief for the Raptors as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Timberland better keep an eye on Sophia Benich. She was instrumental in Academic Magnet's win, putting up 18 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Maddison Logan, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 10 points.
Academic Magnet's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Timberland, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Timberland has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Academic Magnet struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.5 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Timberland took their victory against Academic Magnet when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 67-42. Does Timberland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Academic Magnet turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
