Basketball Recap: Archbishop Murphy Comes Up Short

Archbishop Murphy lost against Edmonds-Woodway back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The game between the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats and the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors didn't end well, with the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats falling 67-50. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Warriors are ranked 11th).

Archbishop Murphy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Murphy will head out to face off against Lynnwood at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop Murphy is facing Lynnwood at the right time seeing as Lynnwood is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Edmonds-Woodway has already played their next matchup (against West Seattle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
