Softball Recap: St. Charles Comes Up Short

St. Charles extended their losing streak to seven on Monday, dropping them down to 1-7. They lost 20-1 to the Leonardtown Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to St. Charles of the 20-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

St. Charles saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Montgomery, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for Leonardtown, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.9 runs over those games.

On Leonardtown's side, the team relied heavily on Cali Harclerode, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Those triples marked the first that Harclerode has hit this season. Another player making a difference was MacKenzie Moore, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. St. Charles is set to challenge their familiar foe Great Mills at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Leonardtown will square off against rival Thomas Stone at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
