Basketball Recap: Medina Takes a Loss

Medina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 47-30 to the Comstock Panthers. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Comstock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Diego Lopez, who posted four points in addition to 11 boards and three steals. Those 11 rebounds gave Lopez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Neal Billings, who put up 11 points.

Medina's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Comstock, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-10.

Medina will challenge Knippa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Comstock, they will take on Rocksprings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rocksprings is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.
