Baseball Recap: Kasson-Mantorville Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Kasson-Mantorville and Lake City, and Lake City kept the tradition alive. The Komets fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. If the Komets were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Tigers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Braden Lawrence made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Kasson-Mantorville now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Lake City, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 4-13 record.

Looking ahead, Kasson-Mantorville will host Pine City at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake City, they will head out to face off against Johnson at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
