Volleyball Game Preview: Lincolnton Wolves vs. Bessemer City Yellow Jackets + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Lincolnton will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will challenge the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Lincolnton is headed out to face Bessemer City after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Wolves put the hurt on North Gaston with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Wolves as they're now sitting on four straight dating back to last season.

Lincolnton never let North Gaston on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-8, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Bessemer City hadn't done well against Ashbrook recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Greenwave.

Bessemer City walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-19.

Lincolnton took their victory against Bessemer City when the teams last played back in August of 2016 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
