Baseball Recap: Skyline Find Success

Skyline not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2024. They blew past the Caldwell Cougars 12-2. The Grizzlies' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Hayden Nahay, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Jones, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Skyline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Skyline's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Caldwell, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Skyline will face off against Capital at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Capital will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Skyline surely won't give up without a fight. As for Caldwell, they will take on Reynolds at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
