Basketball Recap: Missouri Valley Comes Up Short

Missouri Valley lost against Tri-Center back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Missouri Valley Big Reds had to suffer through a 83-52 loss at the hands of the Tri-Center Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Big Reds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the Trojans are ranked 107th).

This is the second loss in a row for Missouri Valley and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Tri-Center, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Missouri Valley will venture away from home to take on Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-Center, they will head out to face off against IKM/Manning at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
