Softball Recap: Peru's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Peru finally came back down to earth on Monday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. The contest marked the Nighthawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Peru moved to 3-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Northeastern Clinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
